History of the Nortenos
Origanally formed in 1968 in Folsom Prison the Nuestra Familia (Our Family) origanated from the North.The NF started the Nortenos spanish for Northerners.Their rivals the Mexican Mafia or La Eme. They were rivals because they originated from the South. They were known as Surenos spanish for Southerners.There was a dividing line in Delano California.All hispanic gang members who North of this line were identified as Nortenos and all were South of this line were identified as Surenos.The NF were the first prison gang to be indited by the R.I.C.O. act by law enforcement.There guide lines are set by the 14-Bonds each member must follow to be protected from anything happening to them.Any who were to brake these bonds were to face severe penalties.All Nortenos were to show allegance to the gang.Nortenos had gang tattoos like 14 to represent the letter N.They also had tattoos like XIV,X4,Norte,the four dots,or the five point star to represent the North Star.If they were to killa Sureno they had a tattoo that siad Sk to represent Scrap Killa.The Nuestra FamilaParticipated in Roberries,Smuggling,Assualts,Racketeering,Selling Drugs,and Homicide.
